From the Pastor's desk...
God's Word heals us.
Healing is a great need of the hour for we have exhausted by our emotional, physical, spiritual and relational issues. We are confidently waiting for the Great Physician to intervene.
It is encouraging to see that the healing power of God's Word is found throughout the Bible. The reason it is so encouraging is that we have the Word of God in our hands and so can plead with God to fulfill these promises in our lives by faith and the work of His Spirit.
Prayer is the opposite of self-sufficiency. Joy is the opposite of self-pity. A thankful spirit is the opposite of pessimism. These negative dispositions are the things that destroy us; prayer, joy and gratitude are the graces that brighten us and preserve us living in the presence of God who is our only source of lifelong and nourishing peace.
Psalm 107 says “They cried to the lord in their trouble and He saved them from their distress. He sent out his word and healed them, delivered them from the door of destruction. God’s Word healed them. Let’s heal our self and the world with “God’s medicine” i.e. the WORD
